RRSH Optional Equipment
Snow Detection System
Standard Features
- Integrated System
- Operating Temperature of -40° up to +185° F.
- Trigger Temperature of 38° +/- 2° F.
- 5-hour Drying Cycle/Turnoff
- 100/120 Power Supply
Operating Mode: Operates when the ambient air temperature reaches the trigger point and precipitation is presumed
to be snow or freezing rain.
Drying Cycle: The timer allows the unit to run 5 continuous hours once the precipitation has stopped. This drying
cycle reduces the chance that moisture left behind wil refreeze.
Duct Extensions
The RRSH design readily lends itself to optional design features and can easily accomodate
additional functionality based on needs. Some installations may require the units be set back
farther from the track, parallel, or at an elevation different from the track.
Straight Duct Extensions: Straight Duct Extensions are used to position the heater section any distance
from the track. The standard sizes available are 2, 4, 6, and 8-foot sections.
Mitered Duct Extension: Mitered Duct Extensions are used to allow setting the orientation of the heater,
such as parallel, and are available in 90° and 45° angles.
Elevated Duct Extensions: Elevated Duct Extensions are used to allow setting the heater at a higher or
lower elevation from the track. The standard is a rise of fall of 30°.
Flexible Duct Extensions: Flexible Duct Extensions are made of stainless steel and available for
demanding installations and are available in a standard 5-foot section.
Note1: Custom sizes are available in all style extensions.
Note2: 5-year Warranty on all RRSH Track Switch Heaters.
